Qué es una crisis epiléptica
Una crisis es un episodio de actividad eléctrica anormal en el cerebro. La epilepsia es la condición de crisis recurrentes.
La clasificación ILAE ayuda a nombrar con claridad lo que ocurre. En ReportEPI puedes registrar aunque aún no sepas el nombre exacto.
Crisis focales
Empiezan en una zona del cerebro. La conciencia puede preservarse o alterarse.
Crisis generalizadas
Involucran redes de ambos hemisferios desde el inicio.
Ausencias
Desconexión breve, a menudo sin caída. Frecuentes en niños y adolescentes.
Tónico-clónicas
Rigidez seguida de sacudidas. Antes llamadas «grand mal»; preferimos el término clínico.
Origen desconocido / no sé
Si aún no hay diagnóstico claro, también es útil registrar — el neurólogo aportará la clasificación.

Seizure diary
Log date, time, duration, type, and what you saw or felt — even if you do not yet have a clinical name.
Medication
Keep your antiseizure plan (name, dose, frequency) and whether a dose was missed.
Exams
Save EEG, MRI, and other notes so they are not lost between visits.
PDF report
Generate a structured summary from your logs to take or send to your neurologist.
Emergency card and QR
Publish a link and QR code with the fields you select (name, diagnosis, medication). Anyone who opens it does not need an account.
